The Restored Razor assumes no liability or responsibility for any person using razors, blades or any shaving or sharp products. Always keep these instruments out of the reach of children and way from pets. Exercise caution when using and sharp instruments.

Prices are subject to change without notice. All sales are final. TheRestoredRazor.com accepts VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit cards and debit cards with the VISA or MasterCard logo. All of the before mentioned cards must be from a bank located in the United States.We do not accept checks or money orders. All transactions are processed throughout our secure PayPal checkout.

Industry-standard encryption technologies - including, but not limited to, SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology - are used when transferring and receiving transaction data exchanged with your payment. Security measures are in place at our location to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information collected at our website.

Sales tax
Any order that is shipped to addresses in the state of Illinois is subject to 8.75% sales tax. We are required by law to charge Illinois state sales tax. Sales tax will automatically be calculated and added to any order shipped to Illinois. Sales tax is not be charged for orders that ship to other states.

Definitions - Restored, Vintage, Used, New, Like New, NOS ... To Name a Few
This web site sells both new and used items. Here is our definitions of, but is not limited to, these terms used to describe items.

Restored - Return something to a former condition. This does not mean new condition, but rather a condition in which the item will function as it was intended.

Vintage - Refers to a past time period. It may also indicates that an item is used.

Used - Not new. Previously owned. Partially consumed.

New - Not previously used or owned. Manufactured in the last 2 years.

NOS ( New Old Stock ) - In original condition; not worn or used. Manufactured More than 2 years ago.

Like New - Partially consumed yet it is in a condition similar to a new, unused item.

Backorders / Product Delays & Out of Stock Items
Backorders are a result of vendor delays in 'out of stock' items to be shipped to TheRestoredRazor.com. We may choose to partial ship an item and backorder the remainder of any item ordered. The backorder item will ship at a later date with no additional cost to the customer. It is possible that some items may be temporarily out of stock for as long as 1 to 6 weeks due to color, style, size, manufacturer delays or other unforeseen circumstances. Customers will be notified when a backorder is being shipped and if an item ordered has been discontinued or is no longer available.

Product Colors & Sizes
Although we make every effort to provide true and accurate colors for the items we sell, we cannot guarantee the color(s) viewed on your display will be an exact match to the actual material color(s) delivered due to variations in individual computer and monitor settings that prevent accurate display color(s) as presented.

All finished sizes of items advertised are based on information provided by the manufacturer of the item. Sizes may vary slightly depending on conditions during manufacturing, production, dye lot, and material content.

Returns and damages

Please examine your order upon arrival. If there are any issues with your order, contact us within 7 days of receipt of your order. Please contact us via e-mail within 7 calendar days of the delivery of your order, If your order arrived damaged, or it was not what you ordered.

Returns and exchanges cannot be accepted without a Return Merchandise Authorized number (RMA).

We will accept returns on new and unused items, in their original resealable packaging (torn or damaged packaging is not acceptable), within 10 calendar days of the delivery of your order. Items that have been used, washed or damaged after delivery cannot be returned.

Please note that all sale items are considered final sales; no returns, exchanges or cancellations will be accepted. (This includes items purchased at a discounted price through special promotions or coupons).

When your returned item(s) are received at our location, you will receive a full refund of the original cost (minus shipping costs and restocking fees) within 5 business days. Shipping charges will be refunded on damaged items or items sent in error only, but all other shipping charges are not refundable.

We are unable to accept returns on personal care products such as razors and shaving brushes or products which have been used, unless defective, due to obvious sanitary concerns.

How to make a return/exchange

  1. Contact TheRestoredRazor.com by e-mail to request a Return Merchandise Authorized number (RMA).
    We do not accept unsolicited returns and will not process any returns that are received without a Return Merchandise Authorized number.
    Merchandise returned without a proper RMA Number will be refused or returned to you and no credit will be given.
    Items which have been authorized for return, must be returned within 7 days of authorization.
  2. Write your Return Merchandise Authorized number (RMA) on the outside of the carton and on your packing slip. Include the packing slip, along with the item in its original packaging.
  3. Send your return to TheRestoredRazor.com via UPS, FedEX, or USPS.  We strongly recommend that you insure the package. We are not responsible for items that do not arrive at our location.
  4. Upon receipt of your item we will send you a confirmation via email, and credit your account. Allow up to 3 weeks for your refund to be processed. Refunds will be applied to the payment method used to purchase your item.

Cancellations will be accepted prior to order shipping only. All cancelations must be in writing send via e-mail only from the email account used to place the order. If the order in question has already shipped or was not canceled due to shipping procedures, then the customer will be responsible for the return of item(s) per our return policy.

Normal business hours are Monday - Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm Central Standard Time. TheRestoredRazor.com offices will be closed during all major holidays

Restocking Fee
Most returns and exchanges are subject to a 12% restocking fee. This restocking fee will be deducted from your refund.

Web Site Content and Design
Pursuant to Title 17, United States Code, Section 512c, it is in violation to modify, enhance, reproduce download, upload, republish, post, copy, clip, scan, sell, exhibit, publish, license or otherwise distribute any of these images without the written permission or express consent of the artist and, or the owner.

All pictures unless determined otherwise are considered the sole property of TheRestoredRazor.com.

Any unauthorized use of the images from TheRestoredRazor.com may violate copyright laws, trademark laws, the laws of privacy and publicity, and communications regulations and statutes.

The design and layout is protected by the United States and International law and other intellectual property proprietary rights and may not be copied or imitate in whole or in part.

Restoration Work
We perform custom restorations and original restorations. A custom restore is defined as the complete disassembly of a straight razor, clean & polish blade, re-build straight razor with hand made or manufactured replacement scales, and hone the blade to shave ready state. An original restoration is defined as clean & polish blade, clean & polish scales (handles), and hone the blade to shave ready state. 

We do not tighten pivot as part of the standard process when hired to perform restore work. We have serviced many razors and must warn you that the razors pivot is a delicate area of the razor. While a few taps on the pin will tighten the scales to the blade's tang, this can also crack the scales without warning. Cracking of the scales can be due to many of the following unknown variables bent pin, aged scale material can be brittle, a pre-existing crack near the pivot, washer spread, washer does support mushroom end of pin, worn thrust washers.

We will not be responsible for scales that break during an original restoration. You have been warned that the scales can break during the restoration process. Replacement scales can be provided for an additional fee to be determined at the time of the request. 

If your razor has sentimental value do not ask to have the pivot tighten, unless you accept the risk that the scales can break in the process.

When submitting an order through our web site, or when relying on any information obtained from our web site or when communicating via email, phone or fax order, you acknowledge and accept in their entirety the above terms and conditions.

We reserve the right to cancel, refuse or limit quantities of any order placed if accepting said order would impose any unreasonable obligation, risk or liability on us. Any such order may be cancelled in whole or in part and refunded appropriately. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse orders for items that were listed with any error including but not limited to an incorrect price, description or image.

All agreements contingent upon strikes, accidents, acts of God or delays beyond our control.

Cancellation of Customer Work
In the event of cancellation by the Client, the following cancellation payment shall be paid by the Client for any work: (A) Cancellation prior to the finished Work being completed: Time and material up to date of cancellation; (B) Cancellation due to finished Work being unsatisfactory: Time and material up to date of cancellation; and (C) Cancellation for any other reason after the finished Work is completed: Time and material. In the event of cancellation, the Client shall also pay any expenses incurred and the TheRestoredRazor.com shall own all rights in the Work. The billing upon cancellation shall be payable within seven calendar days of Clients notification to stop work or the delivery of the finished art, whichever occurs sooner.

Limitation of Remedies
In no way shall TheRestoredRazor.com be liable for any damages beyond the scope of the Work contracted, consequential or other wise. TheRestoredRazor.com and its suppliers' entire liability and the Clients exclusive remedy shall be, at our option to repair or replace the Work contracted with like work or similar Work created by TheRestoredRazor.com.

No Liability for Consequential Damages
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall TheRestoredRazor.com or its suppliers be liable for any special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, damages for loss of business profits, business interruption, or any other pecuniary loss) arising out of the use of or inability to use the Work contracted.

No Waiver
If any provision of this agreement is deemed to be illegal or otherwise void, invalid, or unenforceable, such provision or part thereof shall be discarded and the remainder of this agreement without such provision or part thereof shall remain in full force and effect.

All disputes arising under this Agreement shall be submitted to binding arbitration before a judge at the DuPage County Court House and settled in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Judgment upon the arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof. Disputes in which the amount at issue is less than $2,500.00 shall not be subject to this arbitration provision.

This Agreement shall be binding upon the parties hereto, their heirs, successors, assigns, and personal representatives. This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties. Its terms can be modified only by an instrument in writing signed by both parties. This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA.

Authorized Agent
Both Client and TheRestoredRazor.com hereby represent and warrant that they have been and are on the date of this agreement duly authorized by all necessary and appropriate action to execute and deliver this Agreement on behalf of themselves or their respective principal.

Changes to the Terms and Conditions
We reserve the right to revise our policies at any time without notice.
